The Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro is an improved version of the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge, which can manage up to four times as many, 128 Zigbee devices (switches, sensors, relays). This also forms a bridge or provides a gateway between Zigbee smart home devices and WiFi smart devices with the eWeLink app, which can be controlled remotely via the Internet.

Thanks to the built-in ESP32 chip, it has a larger memory, and thanks to this, the main novelty of the new PRO version is that when the Internet connection is interrupted, local controls between local Zigbee devices continue to work without a cloud connection, even in offline mode.

The Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro, - the 2022 product of the smart home device manufacturer - is, as the name suggests, a bridge, i.e. a bridge between smart home devices using the Zigbee smart home protocol and WiFi smart control based on the eWeLink platform. The novelty of the new PRO version is that when the Internet connection is interrupted, the controls between the already configured Zigbee devices continue to work even in local offline mode.

The Zigbee Bridge Pro is a gateway with Zigbee 3.0 support and uses the eWeLink application in the same way as other Sonoff products, thus Zigbee devices connected to the Zigbee Bridge can be connected to each other and even to other devices, such as Wi-Fi, in an automation.

Of course, the so-called mesh network topology is also available here, so it is not small from the start (in free space) approx. The range of 80m can be easily increased by connecting via Zigbee devices operated on 230V power supply, typically Zigbee light switches and Zigbee relays. That is, if a Zigbee sensor is placed in a far corner of the apartment, which is already outside the scope of the Zigbee Bridge, but a Sonoff ZBMini or other similar device works between the two devices, then the transmission will be ensured in this way.

A total of 128 Zigbee devices can be connected to one Bridge Pro, such as the Sonoff Zigbee temperature and humidity sensor, door/window opening sensor, motion sensor, or even the Sonoff Zigbee switch.
