Solymosi Bálint - Vakrepülés (2019)

1977, Szeged. A boy who grew up in the misery of the Tiszazug farm world and is about to graduate is fighting for life, for his own. Curious, talented and helpless, intelligent and ignorant; increasingly exposed due to his "freedom exercises". Many years later, a mind on the verge of collapse - that of the boy who became a man - tries to reconstruct the guerrilla war fought in the Great Plains and then in the capital. Bálint Solymosi's novel world swirling with feverish thoughts and bodies, alcohol, booming rock 'n' roll and merciless silence is a worthy sequel to Annuity (2007). The characteristically marked, lively, picturesque prose language with its sarcastic humor once again makes news about the exceptionally autonomous author of contemporary Hungarian literature.
