The SocketScan S550 is designed for a limited counter and full-day reliability. The S550 was created to work with loyalty programs, closed-chain salaries, pop-up sales, events, ticket or identity checks and other customer contact services. Together with an application, the S550 can automatically request the right mobile rental for an iOS or Android farmer for a franchise, shop, venue or event to participate, providing a quick and comfortable end -user experience. The result is simple user interaction and high level of security by recording cryptographic useful data from mobile passes. The mobile lease then transmits useful data via a secure Bluetooth to an iPad or other farmer running a connected application.

The S550 can be compact, portable, from battery or network. It can be conveniently used anytime, anywhere, with applications running on Android, Apple iOS devices (iPad®, iPhone®, iPod Touch®) and Windows. The S550 supports all NFC Forum labels and the ISO 18092 device, with ISO 14443 A and B Intelligent Cards, ISO 15693 labels, MIFARE®, Felica®, NXP and Stmicro labels. It has NFC Forum, Apple Pay® Value Added Service, Google Wallet, Felica® and Bluetooth SIG. It is suitable for both Apple and Google NFC protocols on iPhone and Android devices.

Many states and countries have already begun to introduce MDL systems, and Socket Mobile is helping industries such as retail, commercial services and government to enter this new digital identification ecosystem.
