The snom M400 is a professional DECT base station designed for high-quality cordless telephony in office and business environments. The system can manage up to 20 handsets and 6 repeater units at the same time, and a single cell can handle up to 10 standard or 5 wideband calls simultaneously.

The base station supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), so it can be installed without a separate power adapter, using a standard RJ45 network connection. In line with the DECT standard, two internal omnidirectional antennas provide better transmission and reception performance, with coverage of up to 50 metres indoors and up to 300 metres outdoors.

Secure communication is ensured by TLS and SRTP encryption. Configuration is carried out through a web-based interface over HTTP, HTTPS or TFTP, and Cloud Zero-Touch Provisioning is also available. Supported voice codecs include G.711, G.722, G.726 and G.729.
