SMART ORGANIC Organic white basmati rice 500g 103846

This organic white basmati rice is a fragrant long-grain variety with a distinctive flavour, aroma and texture. It is a good match for Asian dishes, where its separate, fluffy grains complement the cuisine well. The 500 g pack contains 100% white basmati rice and is certified organic.

According to the product information, basmati contains lower levels of arsenic than many other rice varieties. It also provides carbohydrates and micronutrients such as thiamine, folic acid and selenium.

For best results, rinse the rice several times until the water runs almost clear. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to the boil, add 1 cup of rice and cook covered for 15 to 20 minutes, until tender.
