Can you find the hidden temple?
Adventurers are needed to find the ancient temple on a forgotten island! Use your logic and conclusions to solve the tasks...but be careful! On this island, the pieces move! Find the right combinations to place the pieces and explore the ancient temple. 80 challenges will take you to the end of the world...or beyond!
Gameplay:
The goal of Treasure Island is to discover the location of the secret temple using the clues provided in the puzzle. The game contains 4 puzzle pieces with a unique shifting structure and 1 fixed piece (the temple).
1. Choose a puzzle. Each puzzle shows a map of the island divided into hexagons. A hex can be one of four terrains: water (blue), hills (light green), mountains (grey), or forests (dark green). The treasure map is often incomplete (white hexagons). The more difficult puzzles show less indication of terrain conditions.
2. Place the puzzle pieces on the game board so that the different colored areas are in the places shown in the task:
- If a hexagon is white, you have to choose what color area to place there.
- The location of the church never appears in the puzzle. You will see an "empty" light green hexagon instead, because that is the color of the area where the church is!
- The position of the ship is also not shown in the puzzle, only the blue hexagon.
- The moving puzzle pieces can be transformed into 4 different shapes by moving and rotating two parts of each puzzle piece. The temple piece cannot be modified.
- The movable puzzle pieces have openings on two sides. You can only change the shape of the puzzle piece if these openings are opposite each other.
Before you start playing, try the 4 different options on each puzzle piece. Each movable puzzle piece has different options. When you have placed all the puzzle pieces on the game board and the terrain conditions match the map shown in the task, you have found the solution... and the hiding place of the treasured church! Each puzzle has a solution, which you will find at the end of the booklet.
