The SilverStone SST-ECL02 is a PCI Express x1 (version 3.0) network adapter that adds a 2.5 Gigabit RJ-45 LAN port to a desktop computer. It is a practical upgrade for anyone whose motherboard offers only standard Gigabit Ethernet and who needs faster wired connections for demanding network transfers.
The card uses the Realtek RTL8126 chipset and supports LAN speeds of 100 Mbit/s, 1000 Mbit/s, 2500 Mbit/s and up to 5000 Mbit/s, making it suitable for modern high-speed networks. Installation is straightforward, as it fits into a standard PCIe x1 slot.
