Many mainstream audio products provide a "bathtub" sound. It is called because the frequency curve curve is tub-shaped. We love pleasant soaking just like anyone else, but with a bathtub, you drown in the bass and high sounds, the vocals are weak, and some frequencies resonate too loud.

What acoustic magic is this?

Many modern headphones rely on electronics to achieve the desired sound. However, this is not given to the HD 550: from the source to the ear, it gets a direct analog signal. This means a clear, unadulterated sound without additional noises and artifacts. However, this also sweated our engineers, which meant that the headphones had to be acoustically flawless.

They started with our excellent 150 ohmic signal converters within the proven HD 500 frame. By the way, the signal transformer is manufactured in Ireland, so it gets excellent quality and perfect channel fitting. To create a 3D sound and a wide tone, the speakers lean towards the ear, imitating real hearing. The dust protector is acoustically transparent. Even ear pads were selected on the basis of their acoustic properties. And the strategic foam provides smooth integration of high sounds and controlled bass sounds. The result is a neutral balance that even our most demanding fans will appreciate. The HD 550 headphones are open and ventilated, but never rude and pleasant enough to be the everyday leader of anyone.

The design of the HD 550 was greatly influenced by the feedback of people like you. And you said, "be light, comfortable and make super sound." Therefore, we have revised the headband, using high quality artificial skin and softer foam. With such a small total mass, less clamping power was needed. Which, in turn, made us use soft, comfortable ear pads from plush velvet. It is stable, but not so striking, that even long sessions are not a problem. Work, play or listen to music for as long as you want - without pressing, pressure, charging or pairing.
