The Sennheiser e 604 is a dynamic XLR microphone in a black housing, designed for miking toms and snare drums as well as woodwind instruments. Its practical clamps let you attach it to the rim of a drum in moments and position it exactly where you need it. Weighing 60 g, the microphone is sturdy and simple to handle.
Its sound has a slight emphasis in the upper mids and highs, giving a powerful presence with open, clear low end. Depending on placement, it can add warmth or extra punch to a snare, while woodwinds sound especially rich and full.
The sonic character is based on the legendary MD 421, making the e 604 a proven choice for recording and live use.
