SCHLEICH 14800 Wild Life Polar bear
Product description
The polar bear belongs to the order of carnivores, including the bear family, and is the second largest member of the order of mammals living in the Arctic region. The distribution area of the polar bear is the southern part of the Arctic ice fields. The polar bear is almost constantly on the move, and therefore does not even have its own territory. This is not surprising, since the ice fields do not provide much food, and the animals have to travel a relatively long way to get their daily food. In search of prey, they travel up to 70 km per day. The polar bear has adapted very well to the cold of the Arctic. Its fur insulates so well that the polar bear practically does not lose heat except for the surface of its nose, and is almost unnoticeable in the cold landscape with a thermal camera. However, this also causes its vulnerability, it cannot release heat even in hot weather and suffers from heatstroke even at relatively low temperatures.
