    The SanDisk Optimus 5100 is a 500 GB internal SSD in the compact M.2 2280 form factor. It connects via a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface using the NVMe protocol and, according to the manufacturer, reaches read speeds of up to 6600 MB/s and write speeds of up to 5600 MB/s. The storage uses TLC NAND flash.

    The slim design makes it easy to install in laptops, desktop computers and other devices with a free M.2 slot. Compared with conventional SATA SSDs, the PCIe 4.0 connection offers noticeably faster load times for the operating system and applications, along with a more responsive system overall.

    The drive rated for 300 TBW of endurance. The Optimus 5100 is well suited to workstations and data-intensive environments where fast data access and reliable storage are important.
