The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD is an external drive offering 4 TB of storage and read speeds of up to 2000 MB/s. According to the manufacturer, it can move around 1000 high-resolution photos in under a minute, making it well suited to backing up large projects, freeing up space, or organising content across several devices.

The drive is built to withstand rough handling: it is rated to survive a drop from three metres and carries IP65 protection against water and dust, so it can be used in damp or dusty conditions. Its pocket-sized body weighs just 47 g and fits easily into a pocket or small bag.

Data is protected by built-in 256-bit AES encryption and password protection, keeping files secure even if the drive is lost or stolen. It connects via USB Type-C and also includes a USB Type-A connection, and it is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and iPadOS.
