The Samyang AF 85mm f/1.4 FE II is a light and compact short telephoto lens that combines advanced optics and refined handling, ideal for portraits and low light conditions. In its second generation, it managed to reduce the size and weight, while improving the optical and autofocus performance. With 11 optical elements arranged in 8 groups, the lens uses high-refraction and extra-low dispersion elements to achieve a glass surface that delivers smooth, creamy bokeh. For the same purpose, the lens is equipped with a nine-lamella diaphragm. The autofocus system has been reworked with an STM motor that captures subjects quickly and quietly, and can be controlled in a variety of ways thanks to the customizable AF Lock button and focus ring. The all-metal lens body has a full weatherproof seal that keeps out moisture, dust and other contaminants.
