Inheriting Samyang's incredible cinematic video quality, this pioneering film lens series continues to help independent filmmakers and low-budget project directors expand their horizons and creativity as their first set of film lenses.

The VDSLR MK2 kit consists of the 4 most commonly used focal lengths: 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5 and 85mm T1.5. In addition to providing the beloved image quality and fast T-stop values ​​of the existing VDSLR series, the new models now feature weather sealing, 9 aperture blades, and focal lengths visible on both sides for more professional use. The series is extremely versatile and is available for 7 camera mounts: Canon EF, Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon F, Canon M, Fuji X and MFT. They are suitable for both DSLR and mirrorless cameras to support every type of filmmaker in the world.

The compact size of Samyang VDSLR lenses makes them perfect for handheld and gimbal filming. For example, the VDSLR 50mm T1.5 MK2 is only 7.47cm long and only 525.8g, but it is equipped with a de-clicked aperture and a knurled focus ring. The long rotation of the focus ring, over 130° (focus throw), allows operators to focus precisely on their subject, so that the video recording creates a more professional feeling, as if it was taken with an autofocus photographic lens.

Contrary to their compact size, the VDSLR MK2 lenses cover full frame (36x24mm) sensors and are prepared for the high-quality video production environment. This new series inherits the excellent image quality of the previous series: all 4 lenses have aspherical lens elements to reduce spherical and optical aberrations, producing clear and vivid images. The 50mm model is also equipped with a hybrid aspherical lens element, so it can keep its compact size without sacrificing performance.
