The Samsung 9100 PRO is the latest addition to the company's consumer SSD range. 9100 PRO with PCIe 5.0 interface offers advanced performance, efficient multitasking and wide compatibility, enhancing the user experience on laptops, gaming computers and game consoles.

Increased performance and improved energy efficiency

The 9100 PRO supports the PCIe 5.0 interface, which is twice as fast as the previous generation PCIe 4.0. The SSD's sequential read speed is up to 14,800 megabytes per second (MB/s), while its write speed can reach 13,400 MB/s, which can mean a 99% increase¹ compared to its predecessor, the 990 PRO.

Random read and write speeds have also increased significantly, with devices capable of up to 2,200K input/out operations (IOPS) and 2,600K IOPS. In addition, thanks to the advanced thermal management solution of the 9100 PRO, it can offer 49% better energy efficiency² compared to its predecessor.

Overheating protection, increased storage capacity and wide device compatibility

The 1TB to 4TB models of the 9100 PRO will also be available with a PCI-SIG D8³ compliant 8.8mm heatsink that can facilitate thermal management and prevent overheating.

The 8TB model of the series also comes with an 11.25 mm thick cooling fin. This is the first Samsung NVMe SSD available in the consumer market with such a capacity, which can offer significant benefits to video gamers and open up new opportunities for next-generation game development and content creation.
