The Samsung PM991a is an internal M.2 2230 SSD with 256 GB of storage, connecting via the M.2 PCIe interface. It uses the PCIe 3.0 standard and TLC NAND flash, and according to its specifications it reaches read speeds of up to 3100 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1300 MB/s.
The compact 2230 form factor suits slim devices such as ultrabooks, mini PCs and laptops where space is limited. Its rated endurance of 150 TBW indicates the total amount of data it is designed to write over its lifetime.
