Product description
The SAFE Motion Guard SAFE38400 is a wireless indoor motion detector designed for use within the SAFE security system. Its dual-element, low-noise PIR sensor covers a 90° horizontal field of view and detects movement reliably at distances of up to 12 metres. Built-in pet immunity ignores animals under 18 kg and below 50 cm in height, helping to prevent false alarms.
The device communicates using the encrypted SAFE Keeper protocol (AES128) and reaches the SAFE system control unit up to 1,600 metres away in open terrain. Two-way communication, frequency hopping and a tamper sensor provide a high level of security.
A single CR123A battery powers the unit for up to four years of continuous operation. It includes a built-in temperature sensor with ±1 °C measuring accuracy, three sensitivity settings and cloud-based firmware updates. It can be mounted on a wall or in a corner, with a recommended installation height of 2 to 2.4 metres.
