The HPE Networking CW 2050 is a professional, fully manageable Layer 2/Layer 3 enterprise switch with PoE+ support, designed for the access layer of corporate networks, branch sites and schools. It offers 48 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports with PoE+ capability, plus 4 SFP/SFP+ uplink ports for higher-bandwidth backbone connections.

The switch supports IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack operation, VLAN segmentation according to 802.1Q, QoS for traffic prioritisation and ACL access control lists. It also includes IGMP Snooping, LLDP and LACP, and supports IRF stacking to make the network easier to expand.

PoE+ under 802.3af/802.3at lets you power IP phones, Wi-Fi access points and cameras over the same cable. Management is available through a web GUI, CLI, SNMP and REST API, supporting centralised oversight. Security features include 802.1X authentication, DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection and Port Security. The 19-inch rack-mountable design suits office, school and institutional network infrastructure.
