RODE NTK tube studio microphone

The RØDE NTK is a premium quality cardioid tube studio microphone. Thanks to its tubular construction, its sound characteristics are detailed and warm, and its low range has a unique sound, reminiscent of recordings from the 50s and 60s.

The electronics supporting the high-sensitivity capsule include a hand-picked twin triode tube and audiophile electronics. As a result, the microphone is characterized by an ultra-wide dynamic range, low noise and an exceptional warm tube sound.

The cardioid directional characteristics of the microphone make it especially suitable for recording individual acoustic or even electric instruments, but when used in pairs, two microphones can be used to make beautiful XY or AB stereo recordings or even drum overhead recordings. Its high sound pressure tolerance makes it suitable even for making kick drum recordings when used at a suitable distance from the skin.
