    The RØDE NT55-MP is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone supplied as a matched stereo pair. It suits instrument recording, live sound reinforcement and studio work. Its gold-sputtered 1/2-inch capsule is externally polarised and interchangeable, so you can switch between cardioid and omnidirectional pickup patterns to suit the source.

    Two three-position switches on the side of each microphone give control over the sound. One sets attenuation to 0 dB, -10 dB or -20 dB for loud sources, while the other is a low-cut filter with off, 75 Hz and 150 Hz settings to remove unwanted low-frequency rumble.

    The satin-finish nickel-plated metal body is solid, the internal electronics are low in self-noise and the frequency response is wide. The package includes two cardioid-capsule microphones, two omni capsules, two WS5 foam windshields, two RM5 rigid mounting clips and a plastic carry case.
