RODE Blimp microphone windscreen and shock mount Zeppelin

The RØDE Blimp is a complete windshield and shock mount (zeppelin) designed for NTG series shotgun microphones and many shotgun models from other manufacturers. It protects the microphone from wind noise and handling vibrations, making it well suited to location recording, film, podcasting and streaming.

The microphone is suspended by a Rycote Lyre system. The flexible cradle is made from a single material with no joins or glued parts, which gives it a longer service life than conventional suspensions. The Blimp can be lengthened with the Blimp Extension to accommodate microphones up to 600 mm long.

The pistol grip is lightweight, and the unit weighs 550 g without a microphone. An integrated Mogami cable with Neutrik and Switchcraft connectors links the microphone to your recorder. The grip can be swapped for the Universal Blimp Mount, further reducing weight and allowing use on a boom pole or stand.
