Robert Louis Stevenson - A Kincses-sziget

Literature lovers can thank Robert Louis Stevenson for several classics. The treasure island is perhaps the most well-known and at the same time the most popular work, which inspired countless other works and, as an unavoidable standard, practically created the foundations of the romantic image of pirates that is still valid today.
The novel, rich in exciting twists and turns, tells the hair-raising adventures of a young boy, Jim Hawkins, who embarks on a ship with his companions under the spell of an island hiding treasures following a map found under dramatic circumstances. However, the pirates also find out about the treasure, who also secretly join the ship's crew and prepare for a mutiny under the leadership of pirate captain John Silver. Soon, not only the search for treasure, but mere survival will be at stake for the passengers of the Hispaniola...
"If sailor tales and songs, storms, adventure, pirate forts, if exposed sailors, ships, islands, treasure under the earth" grab the soul and imagination, then go for it: to the sea - and to reading!
