Robert J. Sawyer - Kvantuméj

Canadian psychology professor Jim Marchuk's special method can be used to determine with 100% accuracy whether someone is a psychopath. And lo and behold, there are a lot more psychopaths than we thought. For example, so are world leaders.
Jim lost half a year of his life, and a courtroom trauma causes him to search for his memories, which turn out to be largely false. But in whose interest was it to eliminate the real ones? And what does this have to do with the three quantum states of consciousness?
As Jim delves deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the past, he makes hair-raising discoveries that may affect not only his own life, but also the future of the world that is currently being turned upside down.

With his usual twisted logic, Robert Sawyer weaves this story full of fantastic ideas, from which we can learn as much about present-day Canada as about utilitarianism or quantum entanglement, not to mention the current political implications.
