Robert Bryndza - Shadow Sands rejtélye - Kate Marshall 2.

While diving with her son Jake during the summer break, criminology lecturer Kate Marshall discovers the body of a teenage boy in the Shadow Sands Reservoir. The local police quickly closes the case, but this does not reassure the former detective. When Kate starts investigating based on the crime signs, she soon comes to a gruesome conclusion.

The victim is just the latest in a long line of mysterious deaths and disappearances linked to the moorland. Rumor has it that a bloodthirsty phantom stalks its victims in the fog that rolls in from the coast. When a professor investigating urban legends disappears without a trace, Kate and her assistant Tristan Harper are forced to act quickly if they want to find their colleague alive.

But it's not just the mysterious serial killer who's always one step ahead of Kate and Tristan, someone else wants to make sure the secrets of Shadow Sands stay hidden forever...

Kate Marshall, the detective in Robert Bryndza's latest crime series, who met in the horror pages of Nine Elms, is also investigating a blood-curdling and shocking case in the sequel.
