The RICOH fi-800R is a compact document scanner with a pass-through design, suited to offices, banks, hotels and reception areas. It scans both sides in a single pass at 40 pages per minute with 600 dpi optical resolution, and its automatic document feeder holds 30 sheets. The U-turn paper path places both feed and output at the front, so the scanner takes up little space on a desk.
Thanks to its reverse scanning function, ID cards, passports and cards up to 5 mm thick can be scanned without the user handing over the document. The scanner is rated for a daily load of up to 4,500 sheets and connects to the computer via USB 3.2.
The PaperStream software package improves image quality and supports document sorting and OCR processing.
