RAINPOINT HCS044FRF Wireless rain sensor

The RainPoint HCS044FRF is a wireless rain sensor for automatic garden irrigation. When it detects rain, it pauses the watering cycle, and once the soil has dried out, it resumes operation automatically. It communicates by radio and is used together with RainPoint irrigation controllers.

Sensitivity can be set at four levels: 3 mm, 6 mm, 13 mm and 19 mm, so you decide how much rainfall should halt the system. A ventilation ring lets you adjust how quickly the hygroscopic discs dry, fine-tuning the restart timing to your climate and plant needs.

The sensor is designed for outdoor use and withstands sun, rain and wind. It mounts on walls, fences or roof edges using basic tools such as a screwdriver and drill, and the package includes a mounting bracket and fixings.
