QIDI Multifilament system Box Plus 4

The QIDI Box Plus 4 is a multi-filament system designed for the Plus 4 series printers. It has four independent channels for multicolour printing and for processing a range of materials with a 1.75 mm filament diameter. Automatic spool switching lets longer prints continue without manually changing the filament. A single box holds one spool, and when expanded to four units, up to 16 colours or materials can be used in one project.

The feed system uses a dual drive made of hardened steel and four separate NEMA 17-type stepper motors, one for each channel. This makes it suitable for common filaments such as PLA, PETG and ABS, as well as more demanding carbon or glass fibre reinforced composites. Filament can be dried at up to 65 °C during printing, with temperature and humidity monitored in real time. NFC recognition automatically applies the settings of compatible QIDI filaments.

The package includes a power cable, signal cables, a BOX Hub, five 1000 mm PTFE tubes, four desiccant packs and two PTFE tube clamps. Not all 1.75 mm filaments are compatible; TPE, standard TPU and wet PVA, among others, are not supported.
