Product description

The QIDI Box is a multi-filament system designed for the Max 4 series, allowing multicolour printing and the use of different materials. It has four independent channels and supports 1.75 mm filaments. Automatic spool switching lets long print jobs continue without frequent manual filament changes, and expanding to four units provides up to 16 colours or materials.

Filament feeding uses a dual hardened steel drive and four separate 42-type stepper motors, one for each channel. This makes it suitable for common filaments such as PLA, PETG and ABS, as well as carbon- or glass-fibre reinforced composites. Filament can be dried at up to 65 °C while printing, and temperature and humidity are monitored in real time. NFC recognition automatically applies the settings of compatible QIDI filaments.

The system detects filament shortages, tangling and jams and supports separate support materials. Some filaments, including TPE, standard TPU and PLA Silk, are not supported, so check the compatibility list before purchase.
