Prax Levente - Az imitátor

The imitator is Prax Levente's second book of stories, which includes seven longer and shorter texts. The style has not changed since the previous collection: the common feature of the short stories with an eclectic theme and genre is an ironic, absurd, grotesque or downright parodic approach to the given topic, surrounded by a humor even blacker than black. In this regard, the author follows István Örkény, Danyiil Harmsz, Andrej Platonov and similar authors. Still, Boris Vian and Bruno Schulz influenced The Imitator the most: the flash of novel interpretative possibilities of the essence, the generation of a fruitful dialogue between the texts of the present and the past.
