Searchable PDF embedded
A searchable PDF is a PDF image document with a text layer below the image. This approach maintains the appearance of the original page while still allowing for text search. The text layer is created by an optical character recognition (OCR) application that is suitable for searching with Adobe Reader or Google Desktop Search to quickly find information about suspected information.
