The Phonocar VM003 is a 2-DIN car multimedia player running Android 12, with a 6.75-inch capacitive touchscreen at 1024x600 resolution. Its compact format fits most vehicles with a 2-DIN slot, and WiFi and Bluetooth V5 connectivity support music streaming, navigation and internet access. The Android system runs popular apps such as Google Maps, YouTube and Chrome.

With 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, the unit has enough space for everyday use. The capacitive display responds directly to touch, and the player supports the common audio, video and image formats. A USB Type-C port, a rear USB Type-A port and an A/V input allow additional devices to be connected, such as a DAB+ receiver.

The built-in amplifier delivers 4 x 45 W, and a 16-band equalizer lets you tailor the sound. The package includes screws, connectors, cables, a GPS antenna and a microphone, and the unit supports steering wheel controls and offers a subwoofer/pre-out output.
