    Product description

The Philips TAR2509 is a portable FM/AM radio with a classic black design. Its analogue tuning is easy to use: turn the tuning dial on the side and the large, clear window shows the frequency you have tuned to. A LED indicator lights up when the signal is strong, so you can see at a glance when reception is good.

A switch on the top lets you change between Music and News modes, depending on whether you want to listen to music or the latest news and your favourite radio programmes. The 3.5-inch speaker delivers clear sound. The large volume knob is easy to find, and a headphone jack lets you listen privately.

The radio can run on a mains cable or on two D-size batteries, so you can take it wherever you like, whether that is a balcony or an outdoor picnic. At 668 g, it is light enough to carry easily.
