Product description
"This book is considered a foreign element in book publishing: it is not a sociological or philosophical work in the strict sense, but it is not exclusively a pamphlet or activist writing. It is a political work that uses pamphlet elements, which relies on sociological, philosophical and historical sources, and which is a current ideological and examines a political issue: the ultra-conservative side of the public mood and the serious threat posed by "post-fascism" to the French political space. (...) The pamphlet-like quality serves the purpose of drawing attention to insufficiently emphasized dangers and increasing vigilance . However, if we take it too far, the pamphlet can also have disadvantages, as it does not pay enough attention to contradictions and small differences. For this reason, I will try to offset the pamphlet-likeness with a detailed examination of the issues and reality, while highlighting important facts from the mass of observable facts strike directions."
PHILIPPE CORCUFF (1960) is a French philosopher and sociologist, professor at the Institute of Political Studies in Lyon and researcher at the CERLIS lab (Centre de Recherche sur les Liens Sociaux, Université Paris Descartes / CNRS). He is a committed representative of the political left who defines himself as an "anti-globalization and libertarian activist". At the beginning of his academic career, he was most influenced by the socio-ethnographic approach, and he conducted extensive research on the development and history of the trade union movement. He declares himself to be a post-Marxist and is intensely critical of "Marxist" readings of Marx.
