Literary historian Györgyi Pécsi holds in his hand the new edition of his monograph written on the recently departed poet Sándor Kányádi. One of the guiding principles of the book is that it communicates the merits of the oeuvre not only for the narrowly defined profession, but also for the wider readership to get an idea of the career path. The monograph therefore not only contains Pécsi's sensitive poetic analyzes and points of connection to the works of his contemporaries, but also presents the reorganization of Hungarian cultural life in Romania over the decades, naturally focusing on the literary organizer Kányádi's work. The book also covers the canonization processes of Hungarian-language literature and the changing tendencies of attitudes towards tradition in order to mark Kányádi's place in contemporary literature as accurately as possible.
