Ivor Llewellyn, a Hollywood movie magnate already well known to the reader, has successfully divorced his wife, but now he has to travel to London to fix his local subsidiary. But the divorce lawyer's friend, Mr. Trout, a staunch member of the Bachelors Anonymous Club, is worried. What will happen if the amorous filmmaker gets involved in another relationship away from her watchful eye? On his advice, Mr. Llewellyn hires a house bodyguard to keep the tempting ladies away from him. The bodyguard, budding playwright Joe Pickering seems like an excellent choice at first glance, but the question is, can he succeed in his job when he falls in love with the charming reporter Sally?
