The NVIDIA L40S is a high-performance, general-purpose data center GPU that accelerates next-generation AI-powered applications from end to end. It is suited to generative AI workloads, model training and inference, as well as 3D graphics rendering and video applications.

The card features 48 GB of GDDR6 memory, 18,176 CUDA cores and a memory bandwidth of 864 GB/s. It connects through a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, uses a fanless passive design and operates at a power consumption of 350 watts. Four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs are fitted.

Fourth-generation Tensor Cores based on the Ada Lovelace architecture and the Transformer Engine, which switches between FP8 and FP16 precision, significantly speed up AI training and inference. Real-time ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS further boost graphics performance. The L40S is designed for 24/7 data center operation and carries NEBS Level 3 certification, with secure boot and Root of Trust support.
