Servicing time
This notebook service includes cleaning and replacing the thermal paste. With continued use, heat can reduce the paste’s viscosity and thermal conductivity between the processor, GPU and cooling surface. Replacing it helps maintain heat transfer from these components to the cooling surface.
The service is recommended every 24 months, and takes 12 working days. Notebooks that use metal thermal paste applied by the manufacturer cannot be serviced. Applying metal thermal paste is also not offered as part of this service.
