NINTENDO Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (Switch)

Back to the roots!

Xenoblade Chronicles is an open-world action role-playing game developed by Monolith Soft and originally published by Nintendo for the Wii console. In 2015, a port was released for the New Nintendo 3DS console, and in 2020, a revamped version will be released for the Nintendo Switch console. With a brand new epilogue adventure, HD visuals, simplified gameplay, remastered soundtracks and more, all new and returning players can experience the epic RPG adventure of Shulk and his friends in the most complete edition!

Xenoblade Chronicles is the first installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. In the game, you can wander in an open world divided into several zones, you can take on side missions that are related to the affinities of your team members, and you can use a real-time, action-based battle system that utilizes your character's ability to see into the future.

Xenoblade Chronicles takes place on the frozen backs of two warring titans, Bionis and Mechonis. The people of Bionis, including the humanoid Homs, are at constant war with the machine-dwellers of Mechonis called the Mechons. Key to the Hom's efforts in their fight against the Mechon army is the Monado, a sword that legend says was once wielded by Bionis. During an attack on the colony, protagonist Shulk discovers his ability to use the Monado and sets out on a mission to avenge his best friend Reyn, with others joining him throughout the game.
