Originally released for the Wii console in 2011, a classic adventure now returns optimized for the Nintendo Switch console with improved motion-sensing controls and newly added button controls.

In the earliest story-driven solo game in the Legend of Zelda game series timeline, Link must travel between the world above the clouds and the unknown lands below to rescue his childhood friend Zelda. Armed with his trusty sword and shield, Link must face powerful opponents, solve tricky puzzles and soar through the skies on the back of a giant bird called Loftwing in this epic adventure.

When playing with two Joy-Con controllers, you can use them as your sword and shield. Wave the right Joy-Con controller to make Link swing his sword in the game and use the left Joy-Con controller to raise your shield and ward off enemy attacks. Physical movements like these are also required when using other tools and objects, such as using a bow and arrow or throwing a bomb.

For the first time, you can play this adventure using buttons, so the game can be played in handheld mode or on the Nintendo Switch Lite console.
