The Nintendo Switch Lite is a smaller, lighter version of the Nintendo Switch console with built-in control buttons.

Nintendo Switch Lite supports all Nintendo Switch games that can be played in handheld mode. This is great for gamers who mainly play outside the home and want to play online or in local multiplayer with friends or family members who already own the original Nintendo Switch console.

As a specially designed handheld console device, the Nintendo Switch Lite console cannot be used connected to a TV.

It's easy to take your favorite games with you

You can easily take your favorite games with you on the Nintendo Switch Lite console and play with anything that supports Nintendo Switch handheld mode.

If the game requires Joy-Con controller functions, such as HD vibration or infrared motion detection camera, these functions cannot be used on the Nintendo Switch Lite console. Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) are required to use these features.

For games that cannot be played in handheld mode, a Joy-Con controller (sold separately) must be connected to the Nintendo Switch Lite console. In this case, a separate device is required to charge the Joy-Con controller, such as the Joy-Con Charging Grip accessory. To find out if a given game can be played in handheld mode, check the back of the game's box or the Nintendo eShop description.
