The multi-functional Joy-Con controllers open up new possibilities for entertainment. The two Joy-Con controllers can be used separately by two players, or even by one player holding two separate hands at the same time. By clicking on the Joy-Con handle, they form a traditional controller. They can also be placed on either side of the main console so that the player can use the Nintendo Switch in handheld console mode.
Both Joy-Cons/Joy-Cons include:
- 1-1 analog stick, which can also be pressed as a button
- 4 buttons that represent the direction buttons and the A, B, X, Y buttons,
- 4 shoulder buttons ( L / R, ZL / ZR, SL and SR )
- + (plus) or – (minus) menu management buttons
- Gyroscope and accelerometer for motion sensor control
- A sync button to connect to the Nintendo Switch console via Bluetooth
- A built-in indicator LED that shows which player the controller belongs to
- HD Rumble vibration function, which can communicate precise vibrations to the player
There is also a recording button on the left Joy-Con/Joy-Con, which is suitable for in-game image and video recording.
The right Joy-Con/Joy-Con contains:
- HOME button, with which the player can return to the main menu of the console
- Built-in NFC (Near Field Communication) reader for using Amiibo figures
- Infrared control / motion detection camera, with which games using this function can recognize different shapes
Joy-cons:
- Built-in battery: Lithium-ion battery / battery capacity 525 mAh (The built-in battery is not removable.)
- Battery life: approx. 20 hours
- It measures time. It may be less depending on your usage.
- Charging time: approx. 3 and a half hours
- The Switch can be charged by connecting it to the base machine or the charging Joy-Con grip.
