It's the first sandbox game since Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine where Mario can freely explore the world. Mario jumps out of the Mushroom Kingdom and starts adventuring in new, mysterious locations, where he experiences special things as he travels between worlds in a spaceship and reaches new places at the drop of a hat. Super Mario Odyssey is expected in December 2017.

Guide Mario on a massive 3D journey around the world where he can use his new abilities to collect Moons for his ship, the Odyssey, as he tries to save Princess Peach from a marriage arranged by Bowser!

- Explore huge 3D kingdoms full of secrets and surprises, where Mario can travel in different ways, either with unique vehicles that take advantage of the console's HD vibration function, or even as a Pixel Mario on the wall.

- Thanks to Mario's new friend Cappy, he also gains new abilities such as hat throwing, hat jumping and cap catching. By grabbing, Mario can take control of various objects and enemies!

- Visit interesting locations like the skyscraper-filled New Donk City and run into old friends or enemies as you try to save Princess Peach from Bowser's evil marriage plans.

- Three new amiibo figures (sold separately from the game) will arrive at the same time as the game - Mario, Princess Peach and Bowser in their wedding attire. Some previously released amiibo will also be used in the game to unlock different outfits for Mario or help in other ways during the game!
