A shining metropolis
Lumiose City is the site of an urban rehabilitation program! The goal: to create a place that is a common home for both humans and Pokémon. Shortly after your arrival, you can choose from the following partner Pokémon to accompany you on your journey: Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile.

Together, you can explore the streets of the sprawling city or visit the Wild Zones, habitats where you can meet wild Pokémon. To catch them, aim carefully and throw the Poké Ball, or fight them with the help of other Pokémon in your party.

New, dynamic battles
Trainers and their Pokémon now move and act in real time during battles for the first time. Pokémon unleash their attacks when their trainers instruct them to do so.
