As a tactical advisor to the Orange Star Army, you command an entire army in strategic, turn-based combat. You will need all your experience to move land, air and sea units on the battlefield. Take down enemy swarms and capture cities and bases to ensure victory and keep the peace. Keep an eye on the terrain and weather that affects the game as you lead your units through various maps. The remake features two campaigns spanning the events of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising!

Fight alongside capable commanders (COs).
Defend your homeland with the help of Andy, Max, Sami and other commanders, each with their own special areas and CO Forces. Andy can repair units, while Sami can power up troops. But remember that your opponents can also use their own CO skills! The commanders you meet during the campaign will play a crucial role - both on the battlefield and in terms of the story.

Arrange your friends in order of battle and find out who is the best strategist!
If you're not busy keeping the peace in one of the two campaign stories, you can show off your commanding skills in Versus Mode. Up to four players can fight on dozens of maps. Each player chooses a commander from either campaign to use CO Forces strategically to turn the tide of battle. Customize the challenge with options like resources per allied base or fog of war.
