NEWLAND Remora serial port Ethernet module with PoE function NLS-EX-232-01

The Newland Remora NLS-EX-232-01 is a converter module that connects barcode scanners with an RS232 serial port to an Ethernet network. Scanner data can be shared with the main server through the serial interface, which makes it possible to integrate existing RS232 devices into a networked environment.

Communication runs in both directions: the scanner sends data to the system, and the system can return feedback and commands to the scanner. The module is powered over Ethernet (PoE), so no separate power adapter is needed. It provides one LAN port with a speed of 10/100 Mbps.

The compact housing mounts on a DIN rail, making it suitable for tight spaces, kiosks and POS environments. Three status LEDs indicate power, connection and activity. Configuration can be carried out with the included Remora Configurator software or through a web browser. The unit supports TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP and ARP protocols and operates within a temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C.
