The Newland HR33 Marlin is a corded handheld barcode scanner designed for demanding, high-volume environments such as retail, healthcare and hospitality. It reads 1D and 2D barcodes as well as OCR characters, using a 2D CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The maximum reading distance is 535 mm, and the depth of field range is wide.
Its lightweight body sits comfortably in the hand, which helps reduce fatigue during long shifts. An IP52 protection rating and a 1.5-metre drop resistance allow the scanner to operate reliably in harsh conditions.
It connects via USB or a serial port, and a 3.5-metre coiled cable is included. LED indication, an audible beep and vibration provide clear feedback with every scan. Setup is straightforward with the EasySet configuration software.
