The hEX S is a five-port Gigabit Ethernet router for places where a wireless connection is not required. Compared to hEX, hEX S has one SFP port and PoE output on the last port.

It's affordable, small and easy to use, yet comes with a very powerful dual-core 880 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM capable of all advanced configurations supported by RouterOS. The device has a USB 2.0, PoE output for the 5th Ethernet port and a 1.25 Gbps SFP port.

IPsec hardware encryption (~470 Mbps) and The Dude server pack are also supported, and the micro SD slot provides improved write/read speeds for file storage and the Dude.
