A person only understands something when he grasps it with his heart. Intellect and reason are merely intermediaries to understand the heart. We reach God's thoughts through reason and reason. However, when one possesses the thought in this way, one must learn to love it. One slowly learns to love everything. This doesn't mean you have to love everything you come across without judgement. After all, our experience is deceptive above all. However, if a person strives to research a being or thing on a divine basis, then he begins to love it. When a deranged person stands before me, I do not have to love his derangement. That would only make me wrong, and I wouldn't help him either. However, if I think about how this person went astray, and if I stand beside him to remove his error, then I help him, and I resolve myself to the truth. I have to look everywhere for how to love. God is there in all things, but I must first look for this divine in him.
