    Product description

    The PH1 is a phase contrast kit from MAGUS, designed for examining transparent specimens, especially live cells, without staining that could damage them. The set includes a phase condenser, which replaces the brightfield condenser, and four achromatic phase objectives at 10x, 20x, 40x and a 100x oil-immersion lens. The 40x and 100x objectives are spring-loaded, protecting them against accidental knocks.

    A centring telescope is included for aligning the annular diaphragms and objective phase rings. The kit also contains yellow, blue, green and frosted filters, which help enhance image contrast and reduce the halo effect that surrounds the specimen. A bottle of immersion oil is supplied as well.

    The kit is compatible with MAGUS Bio 230 and Bio 250 biological microscopes and with the Lum 400 and Lum 400L fluorescence models.
