MAGUS CLM cameras are professional devices that can be mounted on a microscope and are used to record observations made with fluorescent and dark field microscopy techniques. The CLM70 is a monochrome camera with a 1.7 MP sensor that produces images with a resolution of 1600x1100 pixels. At the highest resolution, the video recording speed is 94 frames per second. The device is most optimally used with 40x, 60x and 100x objectives. The Peltier element in the camera helps to cool the matrix and ensures a clear image even when taking pictures with a long shutter speed. The global lock produces an authentic, distortion-free image regardless of the object's movement. The built-in USB 3.0 connector transmits data at high speed and does not distort the image when displayed on an external screen. The streamed video is realistic with no tearing or tearing between frames. The camera is designed for working in a professional environment and for university education. It is also suitable for preparing presentations and presenting observations to an audience.

The SONY Exmor CMOS sensor (diagonal 1.1", pixel size 9x9 µm) built into the camera uses backlight technology. It enables greater light sensitivity. In the case of the CLM70 model, this means 8100 mV at a shutter speed of 1/30 second. Due to the monochrome design of the camera, the the user will not be able to distinguish the colors of the sample, but the image will be highly contrasted, which is an important aspect in low light conditions.To achieve the widest and clearest field of vision, use the 1x adapter.

The camera has a special cooling module (Peltier element). During long-term operation, the heating of the sensor has a negative effect on image quality (causes thermal noise). The Peltier element can keep the temperature 42 °C below room temperature. The sensor will be able to operate without significant heating even with a long shutter speed, and the image will remain of high quality.

A global lock is a type of lock that reads the signal from all pixels simultaneously. The displayed image shows reality without distortion, even if the object is moving.

The camera uses its own software, so it is possible to take and process photos and videos, as well as perform linear and angular measurements on objects and their structures. Before measuring, the software must be calibrated for each lens.

The camera must be mounted in the three-eyepiece tube of the microscope using a C-mount adapter.
